The Rev. James M. Bimbi, Rector

Father Jim is the 40th Rector (priest overseeing the parish) of St. James’ Mill Creek.  He arrived in Delaware in the summer of 2003, having moved from Colorado after serving churches in Greeley, LaVeta, and Pueblo.  Prior to entering the ordained ministry in 1992, Jim worked for several different Federal agencies in Washington, D.C., and Denver and Golden, Colorado.

In addition to serving the people of St. James’, he is involved in the life of the diocese having served on several leadership committees and presently as the diocesan liturgical officer. He also is involved in issues of peace and justice in the Holy Land, and is an elected officer of the Board of Directors of the North American Committee for St. George’s College, Jerusalem. Jim is married and the father of five grown children.

Keith St. John

Music Director

Keith St. John serves as the Director of Music at St. James. He has more than 40 years of church music experience in a variety of church settings. Keith’s first Director of Music church position was at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Lewes while still attending Seaford High School. He continued as the parish musician for all four years of college while attending the University of Delaware, where he minored in music while also majoring in Medical Technology.

Lola Michael Russell

Parish secretary

Lola Michael Russell joins us from a career in marketing, museum interpretation, and guest services. Most recently, she was Curator of Interpretation and Outreach at Hagley Museum and Library. Prior to that, she was Director of Public Education and Visitor Services at New York’s Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine, the largest cathedral in the Anglican Communion and the fourth largest of all Christian denominations. A British citizen, Lola was born in Canterbury, Kent, and grew up in Folkestone on England’s south coast. She now lives in North Wilmington with her husband, William, and their son, Thomas, and they are members of Christ Church Christiana Hundred.

Borden Adams

Sexton

In his role as sexton, Borden has worked part-time for the parish since 1993 helping to maintain our buildings and grounds. He is also the owner of Blue Sky Maintenance serving northern New Castle County.
